  • The Peppermint Shrimp is a favorite addition to saltwater aquariums thanks to its striking red stripes and helpful cleaning habits. Known for eating nuisance Aiptasia anemones, it also scavenges leftover food and detritus, making it a useful member of the clean-up crew.

These shrimp stay small (around 2 inches) and are reef-safe, so they won’t harm corals or other tankmates. They are generally peaceful, though they may be shy at first, often hiding in rockwork during the day and becoming more active at night.
