Aragonite A™ - Calcium in Reef Tanks

Aragonite A™ is one of our three Aragonite products. It's specifically formulated to control the levels of calcium in reef tanks. The amount of calcium in your saltwater aquarium has a very large impact on your marine life. With too much calcium in reef tanks, the alkalinity levels tend to drop. This affects the buffering capability of the aquarium water, which causes fluctuations to occur and can lead to tissue detachment and other issues with your corals. With too little calcium, the growth rate of your corals will be inhibited and the stability of the elements in the salinity lines of your water will be lowered. When you utilize Aragonite A, especially alongside Aragonite B and C, the calcium levels in your tank need not be a point of contention for you anymore. Quantum Aragonite A helps build strong aragonite. It's specially formulated to provide ionic and complexed calcium, as well as other key elements like strontium and barium.

What is aragonite? It’s calcium carbonate and is the main building block for reef structure. It’s also particularly important for stony corals and their skeletons. If growth is a major priority for your tank, you want to make sure you are on top of this. When aragonite elements are low in concentration, corals may develop brittle calcite, which leads to lower bone density and overall slower growth.

Aragonite A must be used alongside our Quantum® Aragonite B™ and Quantum® Aragonite C™ supplements. Together, they provide all the required major, minor and trace aragonite elements to help your tank and its marine life thrive and grow in a happy, healthy environment. Recommended calcium concentration = 405 - 440 ppm.

Directions:

- Shaking is not required. However, if the product has been left standing for a length of time, invert the bottle 3-4 times before using.

- Add Aragonite A to high water flow to help control the levels of calcium in reef tanks. This product must be used in reef aquariums and can be used on a dosing pump.

Dosing:

When it comes to dosing Aragonite A, we suggest you follow our dosage guidelines listed below:

Lightly stocked = 0.50mL/100L/26G per day

Moderately stocked = 0.75mL/100L/26G per day

Heavily stocked = 1.00mL/100L/26G per day

Or as required to maintain calcium between 405 - 440 ppm.*

* Please Note: 1mL/100L/26G will raise calcium by 2ppm, other elements will increase relatively.
